Nick Woltemade: Juventus Agree to Sign Newcastle Forward on Loan

In a significant move just before the transfer deadline, Juventus have finalized a season-long loan deal for Nick Woltemade from Newcastle United. This transfer marks a new chapter for the 24-year-old forward, who joined Newcastle from Stuttgart for a hefty £69 million last summer. Despite his high-profile arrival, Woltemade has struggled to secure a starting position under Newcastle’s new management, featuring in only one of the first three matches this season.

The Italian giants were in the market for a forward after the loan departure of Jonathan David to Atletico Madrid. Juventus had also explored options with Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee, but opted for Woltemade, viewing him as a more suitable and cost-effective option. The loan deal, which does not include an option for a permanent transfer, is set at £3.5 million. Woltemade is expected to undergo a medical in Turin shortly.

This move comes alongside Newcastle's pursuit of Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, indicating that Woltemade's departure may be a strategic decision to accommodate new signings. Fernandez-Pardo is reportedly nearing a deal worth up to £55 million, further reshaping Newcastle's attacking lineup.
