Spain’s dramatic march to world glory is heading to the small screen. Prime Video has captured exclusive behind-the-scenes access for an upcoming four-part docuseries documenting La Roja's rise to the pinnacle of international football, culminating in their victory over Argentina in the final on 19 July.

While a specific premiere date has not been officially confirmed, the project is scheduled to drop on the streaming service before the end of 2026.

Extra-Time Glory and Dual Dominance

The decisive moment of the final came in extra time, when Ferran Torres struck the winning goal to seal Spain’s second World Cup title and their first since 2010. Speaking after his monumental strike, Torres reflected that "destiny was written" for the squad, acknowledging the challenge of facing a side featuring Lionel Messi while emphasizing his team's unwavering self-belief.

This latest triumph also establishes a unique landmark in international football. Spain are now the first nation to hold both the men’s and women’s World Cup trophies simultaneously, following the women's team's victory in 2023.

Record Unbeaten Run Captured On Camera

The docuseries will frame a remarkable period of dominance for the national side. Spain’s final victory extended their unbeaten streak to 38 matches across all competitions—the longest run ever put together by a European nation.

Former England captain Alan Shearer praised the champions on BBC One, stating that "the right team won" and calling the result a win for football due to Spain's control of possession and attacking initiative.

Welcome Home to Madrid

The cameras will also detail the unprecedented celebrations that followed the match. Approximately two million supporters lined the streets of Madrid to greet the victorious squad upon their return home.

Domestic broadcast interest in the final reached immense figures in the UK as well, with peak television audiences reaching 15.8 million on the BBC and 3.8 million across ITV platforms.
