Roberto De Zerbi Hints at Seventh Tottenham Signing Amid Pursuit of Manchester City's Savinho

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on their seventh major addition of the summer as Roberto De Zerbi seeks further attacking reinforcements. Spurs have already poured approximately £237 million into squad revisions, bringing in Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke alongside free transfers Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka. Despite this extensive reshuffling, the Italian head coach has confirmed that the club's business is far from finished.

Speaking on the club's ongoing transfer strategy, De Zerbi indicated that Tottenham have completed roughly 60 per cent of their planned project, teasing that another "bomba" is on the way. The primary focus before the deadline on September 1 remains wide attackers and potentially a striker, with negotiations actively taking place.

Target Locked on City's Savinho

Manchester City winger Savinho has emerged as a key target for Tottenham. The Brazilian winger informed City earlier this week of his desire to depart in search of guaranteed playing time. Target lists originally drawn up during discussions between De Zerbi and sporting director Johan Lange back in March highlighted Savinho for his direct running and capacity to stretch opposition backlines.

De Zerbi emphasized that any potential wide signing must complement Spurs' current full-backs, specifically highlighting Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie, Andy Robertson, and Djed Spence as crucial foundation pieces to his system.

Senesi Reports for Pre-Season Duties

While new targets are actively pursued, recent arrivals are already integrating at Hotspur Way. Free agent signing Marcos Senesi reported to the training ground for physical testing following his post-World Cup break. The Argentine defender featured twice during Argentina's run to the World Cup final before making his way to London.

Senesi was joined in Enfield by Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr, who both returned following their respective World Cup campaigns. With friendly matches scheduled against Getafe on August 8 and a double-header against Hoffenheim the following weekend, De Zerbi will soon get his first look at his revamped squad on the pitch before the Premier League season commences.
