Chelsea prevailed 6-4 over Western Sydney Wanderers at Accor Stadium in a free-scoring contest. D. Satpaev put Chelsea ahead in the sixth minute, but Western Sydney responded through A. Pantazopoulos and A. Hammond. D. Essugo’s 38th-minute goal made it 2-2 at the break, and D. Scicluna restored the Wanderers’ lead in the second half before J. Gittens levelled for Chelsea.

The decisive spell came late: A. Lual made it 4-3 in the 78th minute, but Joao Pedro equalised two minutes later, then struck again in the 85th and 89th minutes to complete his hat-trick and seal Chelsea’s win.

Chelsea’s late firepower turned a chaotic, open match into a victory, while the four goals conceded underline how much the contest swung both ways. For Western Sydney, the attacking response was strong, but they could not contain Chelsea when the game reached its decisive moments.
