Chelsea Edge Western Sydney Wanderers 6-4 in Goal Frenzy

Chelsea won a remarkable 6-4 contest at Accor Stadium, with Joao Pedro scoring three times after Western Sydney Wanderers repeatedly fought back.
Chelsea survived a wild contest to beat Western Sydney Wanderers 6-4 at Accor Stadium. D. Satpaev put Chelsea ahead in the sixth minute, but goals from A. Pantazopoulos and A. Hammond turned the game around before D. Essugo levelled just before the break.
Western Sydney struck again through D. Scicluna in the 62nd minute, only for J. Gittens to respond four minutes later. A. Lual made it 4-4 in the 78th, but Joao Pedro took charge late, scoring in the 80th, 85th and 89th minutes to complete his hat-trick and settle the match.
The late flurry was the key twist: Chelsea’s attack kept finding answers, while the Wanderers’ four goals showed how open the game remained. Chelsea leave with a high-scoring win, but conceding four will temper the satisfaction; Western Sydney can take heart from their attacking threat, though not the result.
