There is more than a routine three points at stake as Leeds United welcome Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs arrive with a chance to make it four consecutive Premier League victories for the first time in more than three years. Leeds, meanwhile, can climb to eighth with a win.

The table arithmetic gives the contest an extra edge. Tottenham can move up to sixth if they win by two goals or more. Leeds could technically reach seventh, but only with a seven-goal victory — making eighth the realistic prize on offer.

Spurs make one change from the side that beat Crystal Palace 2-0 last weekend. Pedro Porro comes into the team, with Dominic Solanke dropping to the bench. Solanke is a Tottenham player, and his place among the substitutes is the only alteration reported from that victory.

That change gives the visitors a different look for a fixture where the stakes are clear: extend a winning run and strengthen their position in the table. For Leeds, the target is more direct — take the points and move into the top eight.

The match kicks off at 12:30 GMT. With Spurs chasing a landmark run and Leeds eyeing a climb, both sides have a tangible reason to push for a result.
