Chelsea beat Western Sydney Wanderers 6-4 at Accor Stadium in a breathless match that swung repeatedly between the sides. D. Satpaev put Chelsea ahead in the sixth minute, but goals from A. Pantazopoulos and A. Hammond turned the game around before D. Essugo made it 2-2 in the 38th minute.

Western Sydney struck again through D. Scicluna shortly after the hour, only for J. Gittens to reply four minutes later. A. Lual restored the Wanderers’ lead at 78 minutes, but Chelsea finished strongly: Joao Pedro scored three times in the final 10 minutes, including a goal assisted by C. Palmer, to complete the 6-4 win.

The late surge was the defining moment, turning a contest in which the Wanderers repeatedly found a way back into a Chelsea victory. The scoreline gives Chelsea the win, while the four goals conceded underline how open the match became.
